Important progress has been made on the kW level cooling capacity pulse tube at 80k by the Thermoacoustic Research Group of The Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPCCAS)and Lihan Thermoacoustic Technologies Co. Ltd (LTT). This compact coaxial Stirling-type pulse tube cryocooler is driven by a self-developed linear compressor with cooling capacity of 1200W at 120K and more than 600W at 77K. Relative Carnot efficiency reaches 19% when the cryocoolers offers more than 500W cooling power at 77K. The efficiency is higher than 20% with 1000W cooling power at 120K.
